有的`人认为“棍棒底下出才子”，有的人认为“好孩子是夸出来的”，结合自己的成长经历谈谈你的看法。
Since always parenting has been a controversial issue in the society. Some parents believe “spare the rod, spoil the child”, while others argue that a good child comes from praises. Regarding my growth, I, undoubtedly, am in favor of the latter.
“You absolutely have a talent for piano, my boy.” Mon did not spare her praising words when I mastered only bits and pieces of the tune after my first piano class. Every time I sat in front of the piano, her compliment followed every note I played. Her honey-like words made me excited, thrilled, and most of all, full of confidence. Gradually, piano, as my “gift” in her words,became my advantage and even part of life.
My personal experience demonstrates that parents’ praise has a positive and profound influence on children’s growth. On one hand, it can be of great help to build up children’s confidence in certain field. As parents’ judgment and approval matter a lot in the depth of children’s heart, praise easily serves as a big push to a child’s performance. The more parents praise their kids, the more motivated and dedicated kids become. On the other hand, compliment will get rid of the possible harm to the physical and mental health that beating a child may give rise to, for kids brought up in a family that often beats them as a form of education are prone to use violence on others.
To conclude, appreciative education is more appropriate than stick parenting. But, parents are not supposed to go to extremes, and keep in mind that appreciation and disciplineare bothrequired to guarantee children a promising future.
